Our Story: DESEA

Our story began in the depths of the Amazon. It is our deepest belief that nature gives us everything we need as humans to thrive. We have always understood the therapeutic benefits of plants.... there is nothing more effective and lasting than the power of nature.

On one of our trips to Latin America, we discovered the omnipotent cacay nut in Colombia and were immediately fascinated by its abundance of uses as well as its powerful history. For centuries, the indigenous people of the Amazon region have used the liquid gold of this protein-rich nut to treat wounds and heal their skin.
